CUNY Physics PhD Program
– Graduate program in Physics and Astronomy. Includes 12 month stipend and benefits for 5 years. Application Deadline: January.

CUNY Astrophysics Master’s Program
– 
Graduate program in Astrophysics. Includes 12 month stipend and benefits for 2 years. Application Deadline: April.

AstroCom NYC
– Multi-year research fellowships and intensive mentoring for CUNY undergraduates interested in pursing graduate work in Astronomy. Includes 12 month stipend for up to 2 years. Application Deadline: October.

AMNH/CUNY NSF Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU)
– Summer research opportunity open to all undergraduates. Includes summer stipend. Application Deadline: January.

CUNY Research Scholars Program – Research experience for undergraduates at CUNY campuses with two-year degree programs. Application procedures vary from campus to campus.

FAST Faculty And Student Team Initiative
– Research projects connected with the Sloan Digital Sky Survey collaboration.

Consortium Memberships

CUNY Astro is a member of the following astronomical consortia either as an institution or through member campuses and affiliations:

ASNY College of Staten Island is an associate member and AMNH is a full member of the Astronomical Society of New York.

LSST-DA CUNY Astro is a member of the The Large Synoptic Survey Telescope’s Discovery Alliance along with Columbia University and Rutgers University. The goal of LSST-DA is to provide the academic support of the Rubin Observatory‘s 10-year survey.

New York State Space Grant Consortium A number of individual CUNY campuses are members, and Space Grant has funded a variety of CUNY Astro faculty and student projects over the years.

SDSS Affiliate CUNY Astro is an affiliate Institution of the Sloan Digital Sky Survey.
